SFF ’22

Saugatuck Film Fest boasts an exploration of the frontier of filmmaking with a backdrop of one of Michigan’s most beautiful art destinations. The SFF closes out the Art Coast’s year with an artistic flourish celebrating independent film, and offers patrons of the arts a sendoff to the year’s creativity.

Join us again this November as we gather to recognize, promote, and celebrate independent filmmakers; continue to elevate Saugatuck as a premier arts destination; and have a good time doing it.

This year, the SFF is proud to announce that all proceeds from the festival will benefit Wishbone Pet Rescue Alliance, an organization working to provide shelter and safety for pets within Allegan County.

The fest takes place on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 beginning at 1pm, in the historic Saugatuck Women’s Club downtown Saugatuck.

Events are to include screenings of short and feature length films submissions, a prize winning feature film, artist Q&A, awards presentation, and additional online screenings.

Selections will be based entirely on artistic and technical merit, as decided by our panel of judges and members. No restrictions are made on submissions outside of recency of completion and length, please see full submission guidelines for additional details.

Over $1500 will be awarded to winning selections, with prizes including:

  • Best Feature
  • 1st Prize – Short
  • 2nd Prize – Short
  • Crowd Favorite
